Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 Still Missing

The search for Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 and all of it’s 239 passengers are still on  2 days after it first lost contact with Malaysian Airlines. Flight MH370 lost contact with the company 2 hours into the flight, around 8 pm GMT on the 7th of March, 2014 and no contact has been had since. With every passing minute, hope fades for the victims of, what by now, is almost definitely a crash. The flight must have run out of the fuel required to sustain it at least 24 hours ago and realistically, much earlier. The Vietnamese Navy, working day in and day out at the moment to help find the flight as soon as possible have reported oil slicks found 12 miles off the coast of Vietnam. ‘Unidentified objects’, rumoured to be fragments of Flight MH370, have apparently also been found but unfortunately, there has still been no concrete view of the airplane or any of it’s passengers and efforts are still ongoing to find it.

As each minute passes, it becomes more and more difficult to find the Plane and it’s 239 passengers. The flight, travelling from Malaysia to China, carried passengers from many countries. While a majority, 153 people, were from China, there were people from America, France, Netherlands, India and 9 other countries as well. The new rumour of 2 people on board with Passports which have been reported as stolen in the past further compounds the issue and now various agencies from around the world like the FBI have gotten involved to ensure there is no danger of terrorism and that Flight MH370 wasn’t a victim a terrorism. The input from agencies from around the globe will surely make finding the flight easier but many fear it’s already too late.

The aim right now is to, above all else, find any survivors of the doomed flight before it’s too late for anyone. The last big incident involving air travel of this magnitude was Air France Flight 447 which crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on June 1st 2009 when all 216 passengers and 12 crew members perished. The flight was found 5 days after it’s crash with no survivors and it took a further 2 years to find the Black Box which is imperative in decoding the reason for a crash. At the moment, there is very little anyone can do but pray, hope for the best and trust in the authorities to find any survivor of flight MH370 as soon as possible.
